“Tillie” writes only intermittently but with an opinionated edge and at length.  She scribbles “whoever in the world ever dreamed that  Lizzie Lightbody would need a wedding dress” and later “Wonders will never cease, I think we have given the village gossips material enough to work on for the next ten weeks…”  She is in courting mode and an avid advocate of the Temperance Movement.
