both of the sun.

partial eclipse in tho southern parts of the
United States.
EL—An annular eclipse of tho sun, July
29th, visible in Canada as a partial eclipse;
commences at Toronto, July 29th, 8b. 4Cm.
a.m., ends 10b. SGm. a.m., eastern standard
time.
Morning and Evening Stars, 1897.
Venus is an evening star to April 28th,
afterwards a morning star. Mars is an
ovening star to November 21st, afterwards
a morning star. Jupiter is a morning
star to February 23rd, an ovening star to
September 13th, afterwards a morning star.

Saturn is a morning star to May 17th , an
evoniing star to November 25th, afterwards
a morning star. Mercury will bo a morn­
ing star about Fobruary 15th, June 16th
and October 7th, an ovening star about
January 6th, April 28th, August 20th and
December 80th. Venus will bo at its great­
est brilliauoy March 21st and .Juno 3rd.
Tho satellites of Jupiter are invisible

&lt;p&gt;Wednesday 22 Cold, some flurries of snow. Jobbing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Thursday 23 Cold. N. West wind. I cleaned some wheat and took it to S. Mcvay — 38 5/8 bu. I got pay for wheat — 105 5/8 bu at 77¢ per bu, $81.37. Wheat all 83¢ per bu, standard.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;MONDAY 27 Snowed some in forenoon. Mr Kelley and I went to Nomination at Dawn Mills in the afternoon.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;TUESDAY 28 Very cold and frosty. 12 degrees below zero. Cleaned some wheat and [choppin the wagon] and hauled a load of fodder to H. Fletcher and one for myself.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;WEDNESDAY 29 Stormy. Snow then rain. We hauled one load and a half of fodder. Took a grist of wheat to mill. We attended a lodge of I.O.F. at Dawn Mills last night.r&lt;/p&gt;
