Farewell
When eyes are beaming
What never tongue can tell
When tears are streaming
From their crystal cell
When hands are linked that dread to part
And heart is not by throbbing heart
O! bitter bitter is the smart
Of them that bid farewell
When hope is hidden
That bain of bliss would tell
And love forbidden
I the breast to dwell
When fettered by a viewless chain
We turn and gaze and turn again
Oh! death were merry to the pain
Of them that bid farewell

enjoyments of life. Where there
is a free interchange of sentiment

its powers the understanding
gains much vigour.

in all conversation is that we should not talk
to ease ourselves but
those that hear us.
