Was at the same work as yesterday and finished it. Drove Miss {?} and family up to her home this evening. The weather is dry and cool

Was plowing all day with two teams in the fall wheat {?} ground, Pretty warm weather with a high wind to night. Spent evening reading the weekly papers

October, FRIDAY, 20 1871

Finished plowing the fall wheat {?} ground {??} Received a letter from father. {?} Missouri stating that they had arrived safe in two days and nights travel and are rather disappointed in the appearance of the country. Spent the evening at Choir Practice.

SATURDAY, 21

Had a call from a {?} living in Ottawa wanting to buy improved stock {?} some things to him {?} made no sales. Received from Mrs A. Wordhall $4.50 for value received by {?}. Had {?} this evening from Miss Campbell and {?} A fine warm day.
