January 1925.

1 Thursday. Cold & stormy. We had Grandpa's goose for dinner and had the following company - Mr & Mrs Sim Weaver, Mr. & Mrs. Lincoln Weaver, Willard, Mildred and Doris, Mr. & Mrs. Emerson Krauter, Marie and Erla The old horse Tom choked to death in the stable last night and Walter skinned him. Koepke's called up and Walter went up there and killed and and skinned a horse for them this afternoon and stayed there for tea.

2 Friday. Not so cold. Walter butchered 3 pigs today at Enoch Schneider's

3 Saturday. Snowed all day. We butchered a pig here today for Joe Farley. Callers were - Mr. Bridge, Emerson Krauter and Farley's son.

4 Sunday. Snowing and storming. Walter, Ella and Vernon went to church and Sunday school this morning. Walter went to choir practice tonight with Noah Miller
