January, 1925

22 Thursday Fierce storm. Corneliys went to Elmira and got the sow Walter bought last Friday

23 Friday. Clear and cold. Walter went out to the barn again this afternoon. Cornelius went to West Montrose to see about a job. Noah and Charlie Miller visted us tonight.

24 Saturday. Cloudy and raw. There was a total eclipse of the sun this morning but owing to the clouds we didn't as much as get a glimpse of the sun which we heartily regretted. It was real dark for a minute or so. Cornelius took a load of chopping to Floradale this p.m. Walter killed a cattle beast for Elmo King. Callers were - Elmo King, Billy Bridge, Earl Miller, Emerson Krauter, Clareuce {Farncomnbe?} and Laura Miller.
