January, 1925.

25 Sunday. Fine day. Walter went to church and Sunday school this p.m. Ella & Vernon have colds. Dick Zuidervaart was here for tea.

26 Monday. Snowing & storming. Ella did her washing. Walter killed 3 pigs at Harvey Schmidt's today. Cornelius got the chop at Floradale. Aubrey Lawson was here for tea and the night.

27 Tuesday. Terrible cold 20 below zero Aubrey left before dinner. We killed 2 pigs today for Emerson and he was here and helped.

28 Wednesday. Very cold. Walter killed 3 pigs and a beef at Jolce Bender's today.

29 Thursday. Cloudy and raw. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira and went from there down to Hilliards

30 Friday. Cold & stormy. Walter returned home from Hilliard's tonight. Vernon has been home from school for two days.
