7 Tuesday. Fine spring day. Heard the frogs for the first time last night. Aubrey was plowing all day. Walter took a little Hereford bull up to Logel's near Glenallen Ella sowed the sweet peas and some lettuce and radishes. Oscar Ritter's house burnt today while they were away at young Battenburg's funeral.

8 Wednesday. Fine spring day. Ella saw a butterfly tofday. We killed a pigfor Mrs. Farncombe this morning. Walter was boiling syrup in Kiug's bush this p.m. Aubrey was plowing all day

9 Thursday Lovely warm day. Walter & Ella went to Elmira and had their dinner at Art. Klinck's. Aubrey took 4 hogs down. Walter took off the storm windows today. Walter got home seed grain at Mrs. Farncombe's Mrs. Sam Ambach died this morning.
