Fri Aug 7. Fine but very warm. the girls and Annie M. called.

Sat Aug 8. Extremely hot and smoky. Marjorie came and remained over Sunday.

Sun Aug 9. Fine and extremely warm. we went to morning and evening church. Patriotic {illegible} in the eve. came a thunder storm and rain about ten o'clock.

Mon Aug 10. Rained a little at first. boys came for Marjorie we washed. I called at Lydia Wilsons in afternoon.

Tue Aug 11. Fine and very cool. Mrs Breaky and Mrs Atkinson called. Mother and Annie here in the eve.

Wed Aug 12. Fine and quite cool. I went to Toronto. called to see Aunt Nancy. bought first butter 28c.

Thur Aug 13. A little showery in the afternoon.

Fri Aug 14. Fine and cool. Mrs and Miss Reeve here to dinner. I went out to Willies in the evening.

Sat Aug 15. Fine and very cool. Mother and Mary Watson here in the evening.

Sun Aug 16. Fine and cool then rained heavily in the afternoon. Aunt Nellie at morning church. she and I at eve_ Electric lights. Willie and Mary here in eve.

Mon Aug 17. Dull and showery at first. We pumped water out of {illegible} and had it patched. We were at M. watsons for tea.

Tue Aug 18. A heavy storm last night. Aunties went to Toronto. Aunt Mattie remained. Mother and Annie here in eve.
