Thur May 29_ Election Day. Mr St John in with over 400 Majority. Cold, and a frost with ice last night. I called at Pa's in the evening. (C.T. away.

Fri May 30_ A little warmer, Uncle went out for Lily Farr. fine day,

Sat May 31_ Fine day, Aunt Mattie and I up at Marys in the evening. Lily went to Thornhill.

Sun June 1. Fine but very hot, Uncle, Aunt Mattie and {between the lines it reads: Peace in S. Africa declared} I went to church I went to Fisherville. Ma, Mary, and the children here for tea.

Mon June 2, Fine but very warm. Uncle helping at {between the lines it reads: We have only 24 turkeys.} Tom Bowes. Mr and Mrs Gibson called in the evening. Aunt Nellie called at Miss Thomas.

Tue June 3_ Fine but still warm, came a shower. in the afternoon. I went to Prayer Meeting

Wed June 4_ Uncle at Bowes' he and Auntie went for a drive in the evening. Annie and Clara Teasdale here for tea.

Thur June 5, {it appears the number 2 was originally written, then corrected to read 5} Fine day. We I were at home. Day of Mrs Charltons Sale. Aunties at W. A. Meeting at Mrs Gibsons.
