Sat Dec 13_ Verry {this word was written over another word, but it is unclear what that word was} stormy and extremely cold. all day.

Sun Dec 14_ The Thermometer up down to 10 below zero. A few cutters out on Yonge Street but not very good sleighing. I went to Fisherville. Auntie and Uncle at Mr Bales. Annie & Lizzie here for tea. Some say the glass down to 18 below

Mon Dec 15_ Fine and much milder, Pa's butchered eight pigs.

Tue Dec 16_ Rained early in the morning. very mild and all slushy.

Wed Dec 17_ Fine but colder. We went out in the sleigh to Thornhill and called at Mary Watsons. I was Prayer M{eeting}.

Thur Dec 18_ Fine day and mild. Annie & Clara Teasdale here.

Fri Dec 19_ Fine and mild. Aunties in Toronto in the afternoon We went out in sleigh to meet them but no snow.

Sat Dec 20_ Fine day, but cold wind and hard frozen.

Sun Dec 21_ Raining and thawing all day. Uncle and Aunt Mattie went to evening Church. very wet and dark.

Mon Dec 22_ Mild and very slushy, then freezing at night.

Tue Dec 23_ Fine and colder. We went out to decorate the Church. Uncle and I at Magie {Cantern?} at church.

Wed Dec 24_ Fine untill toward evening it snowed. We were out decorating at the Church.
