14th of August continued) 1897 Put in 3 Loads of Oats Garnet went up Pic Nic aboard Columbia went Down Lots of Boats went to Day Putting in the Rakins of the Wheat Raking the oats the Girls Got the clock at Lemays 50 cents not Paid Leander and Fernandez crofsed and the 2 Girls Gordon came him and Fernandez went Back Rained
15th Fine Gordon and Leander to church Larue and Louis Hence Boy here Selling the Life of the Queen Got an Eagle in the Trap Rain
16th Leander Daisy and Ionia Trowling went to the Monument Island 4 of Them to hear the Performance in the Summerstown school house Rained heavy to night

17th of August 1897 Rained Wind got Sturgeon 3 Men Landed here for to Get an anchor stone 2 of them came up to see the Eagle The Man in the Boat said he would speak to the ones that was Buying them I told him I would sell him for 5 Dollars smoking Sturgeon and EEls cutting oats Randolph and Shetla here to Dinner Brought 2 Empty Tub Took to Jo's 20 chickens Leander and 2 of the Girls to Haggartys For 100 of Flour
18th Fine Jo Resor got the 2 Inch Augur cutting oats cut some hay in the Marsh Jacob Arkwright here for Butter 20 Found a Knife at cedar Grove Put in 3 Loads of Oats
