5th Fine Taking in cornstalks took up corn and Pumpkins Windy Boiling Potatoes for pigs The Hamilton went up caught the young Ram yesterday Received a Letter From my nephew John Cameron Kansas Junction Rained some to night set 2 Heaps of Brush a Fire in the West Field
6th Began the Ditch on the south side made about 100 Feet some Rain Cattle all in this side now Gave Genie the White Boat
7th Fine Taking up Potatoes Genie Digging at the Ditch and Fishing North Wind cool Blue-Bills came Leander went to Summerstown Bought a Bag of Salt

9th Fine Rain Last night at the Potatoes Finished them Ploughed some in the Ditch cutting cornstalks in the Garden Got the Farm Fireside Paper For the First Gordon came had 2 Boxes of Grapes coffee
10th H A B Day Fernandez came Gordon Leander Fernandez went to Dundee Livinia and her Mother went to Lewis Place Gordon crofsed to night
