19th of Oct 1898 E Wind Raining most all Day Ploughed 1 Round a Lot of Shooting East and South side Boys Treed the Head of the Island for Ducks
20th very Fine E Wind Ploughing Back of the Barn and Taken out stones Fernandez went awy Down and acrofs and never got a Duck he Shot a Loon Mr Genie came this Evening Mice awful Plenty Sport Kills a Lot
21st E Wind Taking out Stones Genie Went to see Jo Lemay came Back Rained some putting the Stones in the Lane Fence The Dredge went off to Day Fernandez went for the Mail got the Glengarrian
22 Fine E Wind changed to West Plouging the Potato Ground Gave Genie the Loon Took in some apples From the Lower Point Rained Hard

25th St Crispin's Day all Shoemakers Day My Birth Day 73 years old to Day at 4 oclock 1825 EW very Fine Day Digging out Stone at the Back of the Barn Genie went off a Great Day of Shooting to Day Leander crofsed to Summerstown
26th Raining to Day a Good Lot of Shooting to Day Leander at the Little Island North Side Shot 27 Ducks Fernandez and Ed Renshaw there too Got a Peice of Pork From Ed
