4 of July 1900 American Independence a very fine day clabording the north side of the kitchen a man from Swan's yacht came for some pepper and salt and 2 eggs did not charge for so smaller thing as this Fernandez came had a pair of boots for Sissy a lot of people on Hopkins Point Rod Cameron buried yesterday the 3rd of July at Salem Church Ed Renshaw here with the scow for to take the Mare across a crew of drunken fellows in a boat from Hopkins Point went Down the channel
5th Our John's B Day Uncle John 1803 a fine day Stanley hoeing the potatoes East Wind few drops of rain Leander crofsed a letter from John Cameron of Kansas from Cornwall
6th rain thunder E Wind Leander took 2 tubs of Butter to Jo Douquett's one 30 a dollar fifty 20 Doz of Eggs

July 7th 1900 fine Windy drew the logs to the bank hoeing potatoes went to the head of the island Drew the Oaks out of the river went to Jo Douquetts with 2 tubs of butter one 30 and the other 50 lb and 20 Doz of Eggs
8 Windy Leander to church Made the end of the pig pen
9th taking the potatoes out of the cellar Amiot here left his box of tools as the Wind was high
10th fine Amiot came for his box of tools Unfortunate Day Ionia and I fishing got 30 fish Leander went to Lancaster bought locks and other things nails for the door 1/2 pint of Grog Stanley putting Paris Green on the potato bugs Bad Rats playing the Devil with the chickens
11th rained fine Moses Lemay here for potatoes peas and butter heavy heavy rain high Wind heavy thunder sharp Lightning
