Thur 3. pretty cold yet but the wind gone down quite a bit sun shining in the morning but after dinner got cloudy & snowed a little. one of the yellow pullets laid. I fixed the back pig pen for the turkeys & carried a lot of straw. Arthur to Riexingers buchering Marjorie went to Georges with Mrs Buyers telescope Paul on the drain all day we had to do the chores & separate the milk

Friday 4 started to snow almost rain Marjorie baking bread. I washed the separater, then went to the creek after water & Paul went too. The wind blowing strong from the west & snowing. I churned after dinner. Paul went to Chippewa took 3 lbs & 2 of butter @ 26 - 81 sugar 25 salt 5 salts 5 B quining 25 & 15 ct due bill & he never got back. The wind gone down & a little warmer.

Sat. 5 quite a little snow & rather disagreably in the morning but the sun struck out for awhile then got cloudy again Arthur & his father on the drain all day Paul mending his shoes aftter he went after the bran to Riexingers Lue brought the barrel home, & a dish of livercheese. Marjorie down sweeping the schoolhouse & dusting gets real cold at night George brought our mail but no {Spee?} came. I made 5 pumkin pies & swept & cleaned the floor. Marjorie cleaned up her room

Sun 6 Marjorie & the children Marguerite went to church Paul did not go nor Gordon either Kate & Mary here to tea, Fannie went too & she came over in the evening bright moonlight & cold the ministry went to Mrs Martin Dells. rained towards morning but did not take the snow away.

Mon. 7. the wind raw. Paul moved the Parliament House & cleaned where it stood he worked all day at it & has it quite comfortable. got itcolder at night & icy. I pealed potatoes & carrots for dinner I mended my grey flannel skirt. We have 3 hens laying eggs are 4.d at the Falls at least. Fred Dell got that price. Marjorie knitting on her stockings

Teu 8. cold west wind started yesterday afternoon very high I churned & worked the butter & made little sponge cakes to pay them back what I borrowed on Sunday. Arthur went to Chippewa with chopping Fannie & her mother went down yesterday took 15 ct due bill & got nails to fix the stable. I went down & swept & dusted the schoolhouse dark when I got home. Paul went over & paid the taxes $7.65 cts Jacob Morningstar Colector. Entertainment at Mrs Youngs school. Paul went.

Wed. 9. terrible white frost. Turkeys look hard up & cold. Paul fixed the cowstable. took all day & its stormy & cold the poor cows had to stay out - they look so cold & drawed up

Thur 10 heavy white frost this morning, & cold wind tonight to east & cold. I churned & worked the butter & made ginger cookies yesterday fornoon I mended Marguerites legings. Marjorie baked bread & yesterday she baked a lot of craked wheat cake she is knitting her black stocking. Riexingers got the mail.

Friday 11 thawing so the yard could be swept. Everything could be swept. Harvey Dell came down & bought the other turkey hen gave $1.25. & $6.75. 3 dollars of it was from last spring. In the afternoon Harvey & Murray helped them with their drain. Paul went over to Freds & got ½ bus corn paid 45 per bushel

Sat 12. George Heximer got our mail. I made 5 pumkin pies & & picked a hen & mended my waist. Marjorie swept the kitchen & cleaned the floors terrible icy horses that are not shod cannot travel

Sun. 13 we had the hen for dinner Fannie & Marguerite went to the brick. Mrs. Riexinger & Mary for tea Maggie Heximer called
