Friday 4 Paul helping Tom McCredie. Marjorie went to Chippewa with Will he went to Gonders, got Screen for 90 cucumber seed seed 5 nails 4 soda 5 cheese 8. 2 doz eggs @ l8 = 36. Hinges 30 paid money all but 29 .. 1ou after I washed dishes & separater I went & cleaned a lot out of the pigpen but it rained some enough to make it nasty I had to quit & get dinner, after dinner I cleared up my chest: & mended Pauls coat. Marjorie put the screen on the porch window & the east window in the kitchen. wind east all the week they are working on their potato ground

Sat. 5. I swept the dining room & moped it. made two pie plant pies & small cakes & a custard pie for supper. Will & Paul gone to Welland I churned the first thing in the morning. Marjorie washed the frontroom windows, swept the front room & kitchen. The children guarded the cows in fornoon & went to Harvey Dells after dinner & got her sweeping money. when she went after the cows I cleaned up the boards swept the yard up & got Pauls supper Arthur sick in the fornoon afternoon went to Chippewa & got Net shod took 1 doz & 4 eggs got granulated sugar & 25 ct beef. 22 years ago today our Dear Bert died on the Sunday that day too {Will's daughter Albert King died June 5, 1887 age 10 buried Drummond Hill cemetery Niagara Falls}

Sun 6 Grand day wind north Mr Russ to Wills for dinner every one in church but Arthur from the other house he has gone to Welland with Tom Marguerite wore her new shoes Paul bought Teu. Hattie rode to the brick with Mr Russ & his adoblded sister Hattie came over in the evening & gave the children their Sunday lesson

Mon 7 Dull looks like rain wind east & cool Will & Arthur at their potato ground. I cleaned the duck pen all out for the little pigs & Will & Arthur brought the pigs at noon Paul to Hubby Dells Marjorie went to the shreded wheat works got hundred. had 2 1/4 butter @ 18 = 40 - 10 eggs 15 - B. Duning 25 screen 23

Tue 8 Paul to McCredies he says he felt sick all day & Will had the cow up there he got here. I churned yesterday today I cleaned the hen house out shed the hens in the picket part while I cleaned it 21 wheelbarrows full I put it on the ground by the barn. I was tired at night.

Wed 9. Marjorie went to Mrs McCredies to help her get ready for the bee. Mrs Riexingers for tea I made a sponge cake for supper I had every thing to do after she went away Hattie came over & stayed all night for Paul stayed away he was to Tufts for two days or parts of two I churned & worked the butter

Thur 10 raining such a nice gentle shower doing so much good Arthur came over & said let the hens out - been shut up over two weeks. I partly mended Pauls drawers they are a job no mistake cleared up in the afternoon Arthur away on the cart about the road grater. Will big cow & the black one each had a calf Paul came home at night

Friday 11 I baked bread, washed the line full of clothes boiled for they were white clothes. Marjories bees swarmed. I was just about overheated Mrs McCredies bee Hattie went up. Marjorie brought word that Ida was done with her suffering died last night. Paul went to Chippewa in the afternoon with Tom McCredies man drawing cement. Will harrowed rolled the potato patch & the oats he was rolling all day. Kate came after Marguerite to stay with her mother tomorrow Guelf excursion. Will, Arthur & Paul are going

Sat 12. Hattie took Marjorie to Chippewa to go to Clifton took 7 3/4 butter @ 18 & one doz eggs @ 18. butter came 139/1.57 eggs coal oil 18, matches 6, salts 10. yeast 5. coffee 13. baking powder 10. pumkin 10 ginger 5 candy 5 tea 30 sugar 25, cheese 15 I churned for our selves made 8 pumkin pies black currant tarts 6 of them & small sponge cake. washed a lot of calicoes & finished Pauls drawers. we got 25 cts of meat only 2 3/4 the youngsters stayed along Hattie stayed with her mother they got home from Guelf about 12
