Mr James Cameron Island May the 9th 1864
Working at the Fence Charlie here Fishing EEls Brought up 2 Kinds of Melons cucumbers Sage Fixing the Canoe Back of the Barn something rong with the Kingston as she is Letting of Steam going up at the Pitt Point a Fine Day
10th a Fine Morning But it commenced to Rain cleaning the shore cut the Plum trees on the Bank Drew the Basswood tree away took home some wood Kept in the Heifer that takes the cows home {illegible} Washing some of the Bedcloths Drew the canoe from the Barn to the River the {illegible}orey went Down Rafts going Down Lots of {illegible} are going Down
11th Ploughing cold Day but fine for working East Wind it takes the Magnet 12 minutes from here till she is out of sight of the Butternut Island Boats a Going in Plenty it takes the Champion 14 minutes to do what the Magnet done {illegible}

18th A Fortunate Day Went to Renshaws Bought 1/2 lb Tea 1/- 2 1/2 Bushels of Potatoes at 1/5 per 1 Quart H W 1 1/2 Bushel of Wheat 7/6 came home Sowed the Wheat plowed a Ridge of the Big Pease Put in the sheep
19th Sowed the Barley 3 Bushels put 2 Sowed Both Kinds very {illegible} Ploughed a Ridge of the Big Pease very Wet at the Pond Planted Potatoes we got at Renshaws Molly Milked by some
20th Sowed {illegible} of Barley or a Little more crofsed the River From Williamsburgh Gave some of them their Breakfast {illegible} Ploughed a Ridge at the Point the 2 Mifs Harpers Sandy Hamilton & i {illegible} the Kingston chasing the Alexander commenced R{illegible} to night
21st ploughed a Ridge Sheared the rest of the Sheep 4 of them Let the Pet Lamb out with the rest of them and they have a Bad night {illegible} 4 Men here for the raft stopt all night changing canoe to go up their raft Paid for {illegible} the Drain 3/9 & for their trouble {illegible} come to 6/3 a Fine Day
