Mr James Cameron Island Aug 26th

Bought of Renshaw Tea 2/6 Gal W 1/6 5/- Herrings 5/- oil -/10 got the Loan of the Pot got some Lead the Men here for sticks Gave Livina 12/6 Donald MDonnell here Looking for Timber Gave Betsy 5/- First money she got of her Wages Gave George Semo an order on Renshaws 5/- Lent him a Bag

27th Tom Cutters here Melting Led took the tar out of the Pot Fixed the Leech Barrel

28th Sunday Raining Got 2/6 From Calvins Men for Bread {illegible} sleeping in the barn

29th commenced to mow Marsh hay Mowing Oats mowed some of the Barley Betsy Picking Hazelnuts Tom Clarisa and the {illegible} crofsed

30th mowing oats marsh hay

31st put in some Oats a Loaf of Bread to a Man -/7 1/2

1st of September 3 Loads of Marsh hay in the east side shot a Duck Making the soap

2nd at the Marsh Finished cutting start Black oats

3rd Cut the Last of the Barley put in the Last of the Black oats Betsy crofsed home Dans Birth Day

4th Sunday {illegible} East Wind Rain got 2 squirrels in the Trap

5th cut some oats and Marsh Hay

6th Went to Salmon River 5 lbs Wool got {illegible} and money to charge 7 cents for the cloth paid Norman the {illegible} -/4 a Treat paid this Bought of Robert {illegible} Wines Gimlet 1/2 lb powder 2 lb shot {illegible} on the 15th paid for castor oil George {illegible} Mrs Morris's to {illegible}

7th Charlie went home Gave hime a Dozen of Herring put in 2 Loads of Barley Black{illegible} Bad

8th cut the Rest of the White Oats

9th thrashed the Barley 2 Bushels a Great Deal of Hog Grafs in it for Provender

10th Finished the Oats but Raking them 2 small loads on the east side Gordon Lost I was sure he was Drowned as we searched so much for him Found him on the Grafs at the corner of the Potatoes asleep Lashey here shot 2 very Fat Ducks of what {illegible} the coot kind since they have no tail

11th Sunday a Quiet Day not one Moving about on the water a steamer on the Back Channel a Blowing all the Morning

12th Angus & James McBain here Looking at the cows Drawing the old house over to the Barn

13th Lashey here Hewing sticks and the stack

14th Betsy came Angus came for the cows Dan McDougall and Charlie Rose here {illegible} Dutcher Johny Rose Finished Front Marsh Before the Door
