Mr James Cameron Island Oct the 20th
Tom went off Gathering the Buckwheat took up 1 Bushel of Potatoes thats 34 1/2 in the cellar now set my Big Trap for Mink got 2 Rats Gave Tom an awl cucumbers for seed 2 Bear paws Potatoes for seed Left his Things here Killed 6 of the Rusters Besides what the Hawks takes away
21st a Fortunate Day put in 5 loads of B Wheat Got 3 Rats The Dogs Made a Destruction on the Mice if they Killed 1 they Killed over 200
22nd A Fortunate Day Put in 2 small Loads of Buckwheat Solomon Falkener and Mr Hill & son here EEl Fishers in the Mud now commenced Wild Geese plenty Henery Bosell on the Batter at Harpers a Battle in Sniders House Between hime and Semo Seizing their Things of or For the Game Laws
23rd Sunday I went to Semos Got some of his Raising of Tobacco and a Dog got the Loan of his spear Semos Brother there went to Henerys took Dinner there Gave me 4 plugs of his Raising of Tobacco Henery Going to Cornwall tomorrow to see a Lawyer Rafts a Going Down in abundance a Propeller with 2 pipe & 3 Masts went Down caught an EEl with Semos spear Raining some
24th Our Hugh's Birth Day Got 2 Rats east Wind Filled 5 Bags of Ashes {illegible} Bill here had a Bottle Left some papers and a Bottle
25th My Birth Day Charlie here went to A Summers with 6 1/2 of Ashes a Treat at Mr Harpers -/6 Got /7 1/2 from Rolland on the Ashes got a Due Bill on the Rest took 1 1/2 of Nuts for Charlie to Renshaws got 1 Gallon of oil 3/- got a Knife from Mr Powell Seen Sullivan on the Front Maxim here

Maxim Lesot here shot 2 Wild Geese Charlie went home took in 3 1/2 of Potatoes
27 at the Potatoes 5 Bushels in Charlie came up a Breeze of East Wind
28th a Great East Wind & Rain the Alexandra Burnt about this Time Trying to take the pine sticks out of the marsh
29th Went to Salmon River brought 4 of Buckwheat 1 corn for Charlie Nuts onions got my Boot pegged got my yarn from the Old Woman had a snack at Minklers Got my cloth at Mr Hopkins took supper there Charlie and I Heard of P Buchanans Hoops being Lost By a Boat Running in to her Got a Hooker from Luke of Gin White Frost & Ice to night
30th Charlie went home Mrs Morris and Abe here got some Pumkins Grapes nuts cucumbers for seed Maxim Lesot came at night
31st Holy Eve or Halloween took in 7 Bushels of Potatoes to Day A Summers & Antwine Bosell here for sand got a Rat Huron went up Maxim here at night about 50 Bushels of Potatoes in now cracking nuts
1st of November All Saints Day Maxim here Gave me 25 cents shinplaster got a Rat Got an EEl took in 1 1/2 of Potatoes painting oars and Paddles ice last night Maxim Boy Killed a snake hime and Bully
2nd went off stole a stick of Timber from the shore Drawing Drags the Mare sick Tom Davis came with the canoe Gave me a watch key
3rd on this day of the Month Granda Departed crofsed with tom Trying to Find Mr Harper yesterday seen Angus went to Renshaws Killed a sheep went to Semos him sick Bought of Rolland 13 cents of Thread stopt at Renshaws all night
