Raw east wind blowing The men were topping turnips. This p.m. Aubrey helped to thresh at John Maurer's and Walter harrowed out the turnips and brought in 2 loads. The neighbors and friends of Mr. & Mrs. Milton Eix held a surprise party at their new home tonight and presented them with a walnut library table. We had a real good time. 5 Thursday. Wet day. The men started bringing in turnips but it soon started to rain and was drizzly and showery all day. Walter shipped hogs. 6 Friday. Fair. We were threshing today. These men were here - Henry Boleuder, Enoch Snider, Alf. Fromhold, Jno. Maurer, Alex. MacDonald & Mr. Reunice. We had our annual Beef Ring tonight.
