We all stayed at home all day. As we are Expecting that Father may pass away any time Mrs McEachern and Mrs Dobson came to see him. |

Monday 22nd fair wet & warm |
Father died this morning at age 3.15 A.M. he passed away quite peacefully without the Slightest struggle Mother, Jennie Mountain, Will & I were watching around his bedside. After the Morning Chores were done Will & I went to arrange for the funeral. We are going to hold it at two ther 2.30 P.M. tomorrow I paid for digging grave, $300 we bgt Coffin Shroud & hired hack & hearse for $5700. I bgt gro. |

I went to Garden Hill this morning, ticket $6.50 & car fare to Scarboro 20c livery at Garden Hill $100 got to Mr Ritchies about 7.30 P.M. I went {?} to home with him after tea. |
