Transcription

January Sunday 10 1926 Last night was the first night all of us slept under one roof since February 27th 1924. Turned out blustery in afternoon. Dad and rest of family drove car to church in morning. Didn't go to see Jean as night so my cold was pretty bad. Monday 11 My cold wasn't in very good condition all day but was out to the barn for a few minutes when Uncle Ern cam over. Dandy time playing cards when he taught us how to play "blind Charlie". Jean called up. Tuesday 12 When I first got up my head felt pretty good but later I had severe pains in it so Mother put me to bed. Mr and Miss O'Neil, Mr and Mrs Wells were here for dinner. Great feed including ice cream made by Prof C. Buck Jr. January Wednesday 13 1926 My head ached all day so I didn't enjoy myself very much. Thursday 14 Mother put a muster plaster on back of my neck and my head began to feel better. Friday 15 Quite a bright frosty day. Got up out of bed for the first time. Roscoe brought Mr. Gidney up from work to spend evening with us. Ernie Cochrane came in at night and he and I defeated Carl and Roscoe playing "500".
