September Sunday 19 1926
Slept in until six A.M. Busy day as I started chores as soon as I finished in the dairy. Drove Queen when I went up to see Jean after supper. A dandy warm moonlihgt September night and we sure had a lovely long drive together Home at 1.A.M.
Monday 20
A wonderful September day. Up at 4.45 and away early on milk route. Threshers were here all day but had a break down at milking time so I had lots of help to do milking after I had finished my work in the dairy. Some "queer" wrestles after supper and retired early.
Tuesday 21
Threshers finished up about four o'clock. Clipped cattle afterwards so we were late getting through milking. Alex and Mr. Telfer went to Caledonia after supper in truck after 3 new cattle. Arrived home 1 AM next morning. Wonderful night but didn't go up to the show.
September Wednesday 22 1926
Up at 4.20, away early and home from milk route at 10.10 and all washed up at 11.45. Helped take "Master" to show in big truck. Busy afternoon cleaning and showing cattle. We won every first except one even if we did lose Silver Cup. Loaded cattle in two trucks to go to Woodstock at night so it was 10 o'clock when we were finished.
Thursday 23
Felt rather tired after such a busy day, the day before. Rather a gloomy day as it rained in afternoon and just rolled down in torrents at night, raining at least 3 inches on level during the night. Still we slept in the tent.
Friday 24
A very damp wet miserable hot day raining practically all afternoon Slept in house with Bobbie at night as I wasn't feeling very well. Alex came home from Woodstock about ten o'clock with the first truck load of show cattle. Won 8 firsts, 1 second, 2 thirds and both championships at the fair.
