September Saturday 2 1926 Another damp wet day but far different from the day before as it was a lot colder and finally cleared up near night. Lovely day for Galt Show? Alex made two trips to Woodstock to bring home balance of show cattle. Wrote to Evelyn at night. Sunday 26 Up early and home and washed up by one o'clock. Attended Sunday School at the Mission for first time since I came to Bendemere. Drove up home for Supper after which Carl drove Jean and I to church where we heard a good sermon by Rev. Simm Edwards. Nice drive afterwards in the buggy and a feed of cake and watermelons. Monday 27 Another fine day. Busy day on milk route. Boiler valve blew out in afternoon and I had quite a time acting as a mechanic. Late finishing at night as boys worked late and finished sowing wheat in field across road. School fair day for Keg Lane district. September Tuesday 28 1926 A wonderful day. Practice at night but I didn't go as it was after eight when I got through supper so retired early. Wednesday 29 Up at four, had breakfast at 5.20 and was home from milk route at 10.15. Had lunch and then acted as truck driver when Andy and I took load of sheep to Drumbo fair.
