October Thursday 7 1926 An ideal October day. Saw Jean driving her Dodge when I was peddling on Banfield St. Mr. Telfer came home, sick, on the five o'clock train and went to bed. Attended practice at church and home and in bed at 11. P.M. Friday 8 Bobbie and I went to U.F.Y.P.O. meeting at Will Telfer's with Andy and Phyllis in their car. Good crowd but I had some job keeping order as we were unable to secure a speaker. Received some real blessings from the girls, especially, when I asked them to discuss whether "a girl should milk or not" with the boys. Had a few nice dances with Jean and gave her my diary to read. Saturday 9 A busy day on the milk route and in the dairy. A dandy warm day so I washed the milk wagon in the afternoon for the first time since before civic holiday. Didn't go to town at night but retired early instead. October Sunday 10 1926 Mother and Dad and the girls were spending the week-end at Stoney Creek with George {Triell's?} so there wasn't anybody at home when Jean and I were up there for some clothes at night as the boys were attending Anniversary services at Princeton. However we had a nice long drive together and I was home early. Monday 11 Saw Roscoe on his way over to practice plowing at Uncle Erns. Got ring at jewelry store and was very much pleased with it. Plowed with King and Queen for a few hours in the afternoon. Tuesday 12 Roscoe and Dad went to Niagara Falls to the International Plowing Match. Took 60 bus. wheat into Taylors in afternoon with "Dollie and King" and got them shod at Nichols. Went up to H.C. O'Neal's to get a Verity No. 21 plow so was late getting home. Attended play rehearsal at night.
