December Sunday 12 1926
Roscoe and I drove up Keg Lane at night and I got Jean and took her up home with me. Business conversation with Mother and Dad after the rest had gone to bed. It wouldn't have semed like Sunday at all if I hadn't been able to spend a few pleasant minutes with Jean, we had such a busy day at Bendemere.
Monday 13
A busy Monday collecting bottles and tickets on the milk rout {wording fades out for "route"} and a busy afternoon washing them and cleaning up in the dairy. Felt pretty tired at night so retired at eight o'clock.
Tuesday 14
Carl came down in afternoon to take Roscoe's place as he went to Toronto in the afternoon to attend U.F.Y.P.O. convention. Carl went to practise at night so it was late when I got the horses fixed up for the night.
December Wednesday 15 1926
A very cold wintry day with a strong westerly wind blowing. Thought I would freeze on milk route but managed to arrive home in a very much alive but chilly condition. Alex went to Toronto in morning to attend a short course there.
Thursday 16
Another day just as cold as its mate the day before. Roscoe didn't come home from Toronto as we expected but we kept things going just the same.
Friday 17
A clear bright frosty day. Attended Mission Entertainment in the Community Hall, heard a good programme and officiated as Santa Claus. Alex and Roscoe came home and rode out to Bendemere with me.
