File #33010: "Ernest Buck Diary 1926 64.pdf"

Transcription

December Thursday 30 1926 A lovely day with a little lower temperature. Walked into Eleanors at night. Barkers, Jack, and {Wloharts?} were there and I had a very nice time playing cards etc. Short ride in the Dodge with Jean and was home and in bed at 12.30. Friday 31 Finished up 1926 in front of Barkers' fire place with my head resting snugly in the lap of the only girl I really ever loved. Such an appropriate ending with a real girl after a wonderful year together. The year 1926 has been a wonderful year for me because it was in this year that I found I really loved Jean and Jean only, became engaged to her, presented her with her engagement ring for her birthday, and later arranged our wedding day for March 3rd, 1926. Now I know what is definitely before me and here's hoping for a wonderful 1927. MEMORANDA {no writing on page}
