Maria & Ma went to Bronte ith Mrs Carrigan. I was left all alone till Annie came back then Ida & I went & Met Maria L. down the road she had Johnstons children with her coming home for company. Saturday 1st ..September 1883. Ada & Lila Johnstons were up for milk. Will Lucas was here when we were eating Breakfast. Annie & Merven Gilliam & I were picking plums I fell & the lader fell & Broke & did not her{hurt} myself. Ma & Sarah picking ha{r}vest apples finishing them. I got through my work they I went to the barn & I tramped wheat for about 15 min. I was busy till dark. Annie & Sarah went to Bronte in evening. Sunday 2nd.. Sept 1883.
