it was Grant (all alone in his glory) He asked me if I would go for a drive. I went it was a lovely night we went down to McCraney's corner then returned by Smiths & came upon Middleroad then came home we got caught in rain. I asked him if he would have an umbrella & he said he did not know so when I got in house the folks told me to tell him that E.M. was going away to Milton & that he would want it. So I had to excuse it the best way I knew how. Annie & Sarah had Marlow Shaw to drive them home. I was up nearly in bed & I came down & we all went out to WC.
