& Ted. Jan. 29th. Monday Bright, Sunshiny frosty day. Got up early & was down stairs when Dorothy left for noon train for O. Sound to play hockey. In the afternoon Mrs. M.A. Halliday called and Bud brought up the Mail. Mrs. Beattie came over after tea (had on her new suit) and we picked out some plants. Charles came home on the late train. Result of 3 - 0 favor of O. Sound. Jan. 30th. Tuesday 20° below zero last night. Cold to-day but moderated - sunshiny. Frances, Jack and Margaret Christoffer (teacher sick) were here in the Afternoon and Blanche Ross brought back Dorothy's Essay on "Shakespeare's Heroes" and borrowed "Flint and Feather." Trying to study a bit & picking plants out of seed catalogues. Dorothy stayed in
