January, 1928 17 Tuesday. Clear, cold & windy. Ella did her washing and ironing. Walter's callers were - Sim. Weaver, G.N. Snyder, Ms. Maurer, Ges. Koepke and Lincoln Edler. 18 Wednesday. Fine day. Vernon was drawing manure. Walter went to Creekbrank this afternoon. Callers today were- Rev. E.D. Becker, Rev. Jordan and Allew Shautz. Walter & Ella went to church tonight. 19 Thursday. Rained all day. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira. Lincoln Weaver went down and came home with him. Harold Metz of Didsbury, Alberta came up from Elmira with him Walter, Harold and Ella went to church. and it was snowing like {sixty?} then. 20 Friday. Real blizzard blowing all day. The mew did the chores and Ella didn't venture outside the house. No mail today.
