June, 1928. 6 Wednesday. Rained all day. Walter visited at Noah's all day. Ella was canning rhubarb. 7 Thursday. Fine clear & windy. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira. Ella did the washing and cleaned up the wash house. We spent the evening at Enoch Schneider's. 8 Friday. Threatening. The men were fixing the pasture field fence. Ella was canning rhubarb and pineapple. Walter and Ella went to Elmira with Charlie Miller to practice {sonce?} male quartettes. also went to practice for Children's Day. Mrs. Dill was burried today. 9 Saturday. Changeable weather Turned very cold & windy this p.m. The men finished the fence and put the cattle out. Vernon was rolling this afternoon. Walter & Ella made a trip up to Drayton. we all went up to Sim Weaver's tonight and spent the evening there.
