July, 1928. 12 Thursday. Beautiful cool day. Walter shipped hogs at Elmira. Ella went along and had some work done at Dr. Hillis's and they had their dinner at Jake Kings. Walter raked up some sweet clover and Vernon was cultivating We called at Schneider's, Elmo King's and Henderson's tonight. 13 Friday. Cloudy this a.m. Rained this afternoon. The men brought in 4 5 loads of sweet clover today. Sol. Lichty of Winfield was here for supper. Walter went to a committee meeting at church. 14 Saturday. Wet drizzly day. Walter & Ella went to Elmira and Ella had some work done at Dr. Hillis office We went to Waterloo & Kitchener had our dinner at Lincoln Weaver's and our tea at Colson Jefferson's.
