August, 1928. 20 Monday. Fair and quite warm. Ella did the washing. Walter finished cutting grain this afternoon. Vernon helped to tresh at Elmo King's this p.m. 21 Tuesday. Fair. Shower at noon. Vernon helped to tresh at Elmo King's this forenoon. We treshed this p.m. and the following men helped - Ewart Davidson, Harry Sieling, Noah Adler, Sam Horst. We had company this after noon - Mr. & Mrs. Fred Hartung and children - Jean, Buddie, David and John and Mrs. Fanny Reichert all of Rochester N.Y and Mrs. Isaac Holle and Percy of Conestoga. 22 Wednesday. Beautiful day. We treshed till noon and had the same help as yesterday. Esther Miller came over and helped Ella. This p.m. they were threshing at Noah Miller's and Walter & Vernon both helped.
