September, 1928. 7 Friday. Lovely day. They finished threshing at Noah Millers around 4:30 p.m. Walter & Vernon helped and Ella went over and helped Ruth. They moved the machine down to Louis Miller's and threshed for a while. 8 Saturday. Lovely day. They finished threshing Louis Miller's stack this mornign and both men helped. This afternoon Vernon helped at Elmo King's and Walter cut the flax and dug the early potatoes in the garden. 9 Sunday. Fine day. We went to church & S.S. this morning and visited Addison Reist's today. 10 Monday. Sultry. Heavy rain & thunderstorm tonight. Walter went to the Elmira Monthly Fair this morning. This afternoon, Walter, Ella & Vernon went to the School Fair at Goldstone Walter visited Enoch Schneider tonight.
