October, 1928. 9 Tuesday. Fine day. The men were plowing. Ezra, Bert and Ges. Bolender spent the evening here and Ezra helped to cull the chickens. 10 Wednesday. Beautiful day. Walter and Ella spent the day at Grandpa Krauter's and Walter helped to pick appled and they brought home six bags. Vernon was plowing. 11 Thursday. Lovely summer day. The men plowed this morning and were both helping to cut corn this afternoon at Sam. Bird's. Ella brought in the gladiolus bulbs. Earl & Ella visited us tonight. 12 Friday. Warm. Rained ronight The men were plowing. Vernon went to the League Social and Wiener Supper tonight. {Woolwich?} entertained Bethel League. 13 Saturday. Cloudy & cooler. Walter took a load of grist to Floradale and Vernon plowed.
