October, 1928. 14 Sunday. Changeable. We went to church & S. S. this afternoon and Walter and Ella were over at Milton Eix's for tea. Vernon visited Addison Reist's this morning, had his tea at Jno. Stange's and went to League with Emerson. 15 Monday. Fair and quite warm. Ella did the washing. The men plowed. Walter went to Hnery Neuert's {fule?} funeral this afternoon. He was buried at Woolwich. Mr. & Mrs. Ezra Maurer and Geo. Bolender visited us tonight. 16 Tuesday. Foggy and drizzly. The men were plowing. Ella was canning pears. 17 Wednesday. Drizzly. Measly day. Walter & Ella went to Kitchener today and had dinner and tea at Edith's and Ella stayed for the night. 18 Thursday. Drizzly. Walter & Vernon went to Kitchener today and Vernon went to Hamilton with Mervin and Franks. Angus Weber's, Norman Snyder's and Charlie Miller spent the evening here.
