January, 1929. 22 Tuesday. Wonderful morning. Raw east wind blowing this afternoon. Snowing & storming by tonight. Ella did the washing. Vernon & Walter went up to Dobberthein's and got the cultivator Walter bought the other day. This p.m. Walter & Ezra went to Dave Marshall's sale with Sam Horst and Ezra was here for supper. Other callers were - Sam Bird and Gordon Wagner. 13 Wednesday. Snowing and storming all day. No mail today. Joe Hall visited the men this afternoon. Other callers were Sam Brunkard & Mr. Gibson Ella did the ironing and canned apples. 14 Thursday. Fair and cold. The wind turned to the east again this p.m. Walter butchered the biggest sow of the season for Mr. Gibson also dressed one for Norman Farr. Callers - Irvin Schneider Henry Wittich, Norman Farr, Fred Miller and Gordon Wagner.
