8 Sunday. Fine cool day. We went to church & S. S. this morning and had company for tea - Mr. & Mrs. Albert Krauter, Mr. & Mrs. John Krueger and son Eldon of Heidelberg. Vernon went to League tonight.
9 Monday. Cloudy. Walter spent the day in Elmira He took the car to the Garage and as they didn't finish repairing it Elwood McQuay brought him home. Vernon helped to saw wood at Enoch Schneider's this afternoon. Ella picked the soup beans and worked in the garden. Noah Miller got 25 pullets tonight and Esther spent the evening with Ella.
10 Tuesday. Very windy. We were sawing wood and Sam Horst & Irvin Schneider helped. This p.m. they started putting it into the woodshed. Tonight Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Schmidt, Rhoda and Gladys, Mr. & Mrs. Earl Miller & Walter Adler were here and we shelled the soup beans.
