19. Monday. There is to be an excursion to Ottawa on Saturday under the Auspecis of St Columbian Church Cornwall
20. Got two lbs tea at Dans, Marion got 5 yds cotton at Dan's, on tick {on credit} Am making a dress for Bird
26 Finished Bird's dress on Friday evening, And got every thing ready for the excursion, got up at three on Saturday morning made breakfast for three boys Far, Jim & Murdy who were going to Huntington to play Lacrosse. Pa was on High horse, Bird & I started at 6 for Lancaster. ex. train came twenty minutes to eight. we spent a pleasant day, but were very tired. left Ottawa 6 P.M. got home a 11. {do?} A sister of George McLennan was hear today
27. I washed & baked today. Pa began to tear the rough Cast off the Kintail house today
August 5 I did not write any thing for more than a week The boys are working at the hay They finished on Magachy's place
