1 Saturday. It began to rain this morning and kept up a gentle drizzle all day it will put out the bush fires The greate Lacrosse match of the season was taken place today in Cornwall. Shamrocks of Montreal & 1st 12 of Cornwall. F. & J. were up to see it. Cornwall won 3 straight Bird mopped. John Saddler died this evening 7 P.m.
2 Rev. A. McGillivrary preached here today text John 4 chp 13. 14 verses It has been showers all afternoon
3 John Saddler buried at St Raphels. Pa, Far & Jimie were at the thair. It began to rain about 1 P.M. and was showery all afternoon. I sent the books to the Institute.
4 Womens Meeting today James Dingwall's R R Mrs McGillivray of Brockville would like to be at our neeting, And could not wait until Thursday so it was held today. had a letter Murdy
5 Raining a little today was at Prayer Meeting Rev. D.D. McLennan conducted the meeting.

7 Pa & Jimie at Lancaster today Far I got 1 ham at Willie's on a/c weighed 24 lb. Pa got 3 1/2 lb steak .35 I bought from a pedlar on Thursday 2 pair stockins Jimie went to Martintown for Birdie. 35 50
8 Robertson Bailiff seized Hart's cattle and brought them to our place 7 horned things 1 horse began to rain
9 Rev Mr Burnet of Almont preached today. raining a little all day
10 Rained a good deal today. Harts other horse and light waggon were brought here by P. Robertson got Harry shod
