S. 3rd. Cleaned the sitting room stove pipes. Sawed, split and hauled some wood to the old school house for church purposes. Paid Robert MacLachlin 20 cts for tempering my axe. Bought of James George One pair of boots for Eddie. Two Dolrs. also a pair for myself Two Dolrs and a half. 4.50 to A/C.
Agreed to Deliver Nine cords of wood ( 2 feet 10 in long) To James George the wood to be cut as soon as possible and hauled in in early sleighing time.
Our A/C with Doctor Douglas for attendance on Mother after deducting wood A/C is Four Dolrs seventy five cents which I agreed to pay in wood, the wood to be chopt into lengths of four feet ten inches and sawn through the middle. The wood to be delivered in early sleighing. Bought of Gordon goods to the amt. of Fourteen Dolrs. Ninety Six cents, vir.--111/2 yds of grey cloth, 2 do of Cotton .50 cts. Two pair of Wool Draers $2.80. Buttons .10 c. Needles .6 c this commences my new A/C with him. E Gordon agreed to take wood for any amount of store goods, he paying the going price at the time of delivery, the wood to be hauled to his ashery. bought a bottle of ink. 3 c. Received cash from Robert Two Dolrs fifty cents. Hauled our pumpkins to the barn. One Dolr fifty cents of the money I received from Robert is from Mr Goble for three cows to bull.
M. 3rd. Finished diging potatoes.
T. 6th. Hauled a little wood to the townhall for Robert. Took three bags of wheat one of barley and one of peas to mill. Wheat to Mutter 202 lbs = 3 B. 22 lbs @ 105 c. = $3.53 c. secured our beet, carrot amd flax. Kaufmans heifer to bull the second time.
W. 7th. Commenced turnip pulling, secured three loads.
Th. 8th. Secured seven loads of turnips.
F. 9th. Secured nine loads of Turnips.
