T. 4th. Plowing, Father diging thistles. Bought of Amos Stafford 1 pair of bobourgs $1.75 paid. Bought of Eby the chemist 1 oz of Rhubarb 25 c. 1 oz of Ginger 5 c. 1/2 lb. Salts 5 c. per lb. Received from old Moyer 50 cts for cow to bull. Also 50 cts from him on Roberts A/C paid Robt. Climbed some Baker beans in garden. Turned the calves into grass for the first time.
W. 5th. Plowing, Father diging thistles. Clipped Billy the Buck.
Th. 6th. Plowing, Father thistling, Clipped Happy.
F. 7th. Plowing, Father thistling up at the Gore. Clipped my two sheep Sold Mr C. Welling two pigs $2.12 1/2 on A/C.
S. 8th. Plowing, Father thistling.
M. 10th. Plowing, sheared two sheep, Father at the Gore: Last Friday Rawn brought home 311/2 of Flour.
T. 11th. Plowing clipped 3 sheep which finishes the clipping. Father at the Gore.
W. 12th. Plowing. Prepared a report from the Port Elgin Society to the Canada Association. Father at the Gore.
Th. 13th. At Road work. Father, Robert, Fred & me.
F. 14th. At Road work, Father, Robert, Fred & Me.
S. 15th. At Road work Robert and Me. Finished. Brought of Gordon 5 lbs. of Oat meal 25 cts. paid.
M. 17th. Plowing, Hoeing corn. Father and Robert Loging for C. F. S.
T. 18th. Loging a little at the Gore. Father, Robert and me. Plowing in the afternoon about 11/2 hours & Rob hoeing.
W. 19th. Plowing, the fire ran amongst the brush at the Gore and burnt a considerable portion likewise some cord wood that was not hauled out; finished plowing the fallow the first time. Last evening Robert bought and paid fifty cents to MacLachlin for a plow share for me.
