I shocked up as long as Bill was cutting and then came up and did chores till noon. Dad. went back this morning and rolled about half the field and started to harrow. This after noon he took four bags of seed and the drill back and put that much in. I harrowed what was rolled and then rolled a little more. Dad thought by getting that much in we could easily finish Monday. There has been a very high cold west wind all day. Sunday October 2nd Marj. Tim & I went down to Sunday school and then to church. Dad. & Enah drove down and drove Aunty up to church. Aunty and Aunty Alice came over here after church Aunty drove over with Dad. Enah & Aunty Alice walked with Marj. & me. Tid went around and got Huby and brought him over to dinner. We just sat around and visited all the after noon and Aunty Alice Marj. and I went and gathered up some hickory nuts. Huby had to go home early but Aunty & Aunty Alice stayed to tea and went down with the Barwells when they came after Enah to take her to church. Marj and I spent most of the evening looking at house plans as we are thinking of building one next Spring out under the hickory nut tree. Feels very much like Fall, high wind & cool. Monday October 3rd It rained a little this morning and threatened more so we were late getting back. I took the rest of the seed back and then finished rolling the field this after noon. I put on a jag of wood this morning and brought it up at noon. Dad. drilled nearly all day but couldn't quite finish the field as he ran out of seed. It will take about a bag and a half to finish the field and sow the headlands. Marj. went down to Aunty's for tea to-night and went to the girl's meeting afterwards. I walked down after tea and went up to as Mr. Cornish about the Tuxis Boys. He has never had any thing to do with them but said he would help me any way he could.
