got home we found W.J. Thompson here. He had come over to get Dad. to be Santa Claus at the Sunday-school Christmas Tree but Dad. told him he would have to stay home with Tid. and suggested Cecil to him as being equal to the job. We got the chores done up in fair time and Dad. went down to Aunty's for tea and then to church. The Bishop was here to-night and held Confirmation service. Cecil was one of the ones to be confirmed. Marj. Tid. & I stayed home The storm died down by noon and except for the wind was not a bad after noon at all.

The first thing Dad. & I did to-day after we got things fed up was to string a piece of wire from the barn to the horse stable to keep the animals from the yard from wandering around the wreckage and running nails in their feet. We had to put one post in to stiffen it. Dad. had to go out to the old garden to get a piece of wire. Lloyd Ryerse came in to see if Dad. would act as chairman at the Shand's school concert on Friday night. This after noon we spent most of the time gathering up rubbish from around the barn but didn't get much done except knock down the big piece of roof that was blocking the driveway and doorway into the barn and got the driveway cleared out so that we could get through without difficulty. I didn't go down to band practice to-night and Marj. didn't have her girl's meeting so I tried to blow my horn at home a little but couldn't seem to get the tone of it very well. It has been a nice day to-day, cold but sunny & not windy

We didn't do much except chores and a little more clearing up at the shed. Aunty and Aunty Alice came over for dinner to celebrate Tid's birthday and he was able to walk part way home with them. He is feeling a lot better. Marj. went down town with them and stayed to tea. Aunty Alice urged us to try to take Jack's lambs over to him this after noon so I went over to see if Billy had a place ready for them yet, but Jack had never mentioned them to him although he told us he would last week. Billy had to go over and interview Down's to see if he put the lambs in his shed and then he wanted me to help him take a heifer over here so by the time we got here it was too late to
