Thursday May 28th I got around in good time this morning and got over home soon after eight with Queen. We hooked up Queen, Joe & Pommers to the spreader and got six loads out before dinner. We only got about 14 loads out of the yard but by setting the spreader for 8 loads to the acre we got the field nearly covered. There is still a little left in the yard, but we didn't think it was enough for a load and I wanted a little any way to plant my melons & squash in. I went back with Dad. when he took the spreader and brought Queen home. Dad. says Pickford told Frank that Mrs. Leany told Alan Law that Dad. sailed for England on Monday and Henderson told Mrs. Brent that Dad. had come in for a title and a fortune, so it appears that Dover has some thing to talk about but we can't just figure out where they got it, as we have all kept quiet. It has been a little warmer to-day and didn't freeze last night. Friday May 29th This being Harry B's third birthday we celebrated the occasion with due ceremony. Marj. hustled and bustled and tore around all day yesterday and this morning baking cake, pies and bread and decorating the house and dressing up the kids so that every thing looked its best and the affair went off with great success. I got shaved up this morning and drove down for Aunty & Aunty Alice and Dad. & Enah drove out. Harry B and Gay had a fine time and so did the baby as Aunty or some body held her nearly all day. Aunty and Aunty Alice brought Harry B a beautiful little table and two little chairs and Gran. & Granddaddy brought him a lovely new hat. He also got a supply of stockings from Tim, Frank & David. Harry B. Gay Dad. & I all had a nice snooze this after noon which is a luxury for Dad. & me at any rate and the rest of them visited till about four when the party broke up. I drove Aunty & Aunty Alice home and went up to see Bill Lennon as a tooth was sore all day but he said there was nothing much wrong with it but told me to come down in the morning and he would fill another one. Dad. & Enah took Harry B. & Gay home with them and I called for them on my way back. Beautiful day quite hot, rained last night Saturday May 30th I drove over and left Queen at the farm this morning as Dad. wanted her to put with Joe to
