Nothing approaching it in interest since Tiny's wedding which is close to 20 years ago. Marj. took it in and got Mr. Bagley to come out and get her and Bess. Patterson brought her home. I got out of going by having to stay home and mind the kids. They tried to concoct schemes whereby that necessity would be obviated, but I had another strong piece of defensive argument in the shape of a hole in the seat of my good pants, so consequently they decided the nuptials could be celebrated in my absence and still be just as valid and the matrimonial bond just as binding as if I was there along with the ninety nine other guests and the church full of interested populace to witness it and more over I got my hay raked. Dad. got another cable after that meeting which read, "Progressing slowly, satisfactorily : No hope of settlement these sittings," which means that it will have to be held over now until October when the court next sits. Mr. Parks will be disappointed as he had the stage all set for Dad's arrival in England and was about to book his passage on the Mont Royal for August. He has seen Fenton & several others of the right heirs as he calls them and so far they have all seemed to be of his opinion about the legality of Dad's claim to the estate after they had seen the evidence.
