Wed Jan 1st__ New Years Day, Fine day, and quiet mild, very little snow, but quiet a number of
cutters out.
Thur Jan 2nd__ _ Fine day and mild, sold the pigs, mine sold for $5.
Fri Jan 3rd__ Fine day, we were at home all-day.
Sat Jan 4th__ Fine and much colder, Uncle took Aunt Mattie out to call on Mrs Gibson,
Sun Jan 5th__ Fine day, quiet mild, Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Church, I went to Fisherville, and we
were all at Willies for tea,
Mon Jan 6th__ Fine day. Mr and Mrs Keys also Mr and Mrs Keffer and family here for tea,
Tue Jan 7th__ Fine day, I got my new blouse home, We went out to John Books to tea,
Wed Jan 8th __ Snowed very wet all afternoon, Elsie Tisdale and Ammie Cooper here for tea. Uncle
brought Margaret Brooks out. We went to Prayer Meeting. fine evening.
Thur Jan 9th__ Fine and mild, Sleighing quiet good, now again, We went for a sleigh ride -down to Mr
Johnsons then Aunt Nellie and M. stayed at Pa's for tea,

Fri Jan 10th_ Fine day very mild, aunt Mattie and I went to Toronto, I returned on the evening Car,
Sat Jan 11th “ Very stormy in the afternoon, Uncle and I went to Richmond Hill in the afternoon,
Sun Jan 12th_ Very cold and stormy, We went to Church in the evening. quiet a debth of snow,
Mon Jan 13th ,, _Fine but continued cold, Pa's are thrashing,
Tue Jan 14th._ Pa's finished thrashing. Aunt Nellie went down to have tea at Mrs Troyers, Uncle and I
went for her in the evening.
Wed Jan 15.th Fine day and quiet mild. Election day, Mr T. F. Wallace defeated by _ Aunt Nellie
went to call at Miss Duncans. I went out to a Carnival in a load in the evening.
Thur Jan 16th. :Fine day turning colder, the sleighing good.
Fri Jan 17th.: Beautiful, clear, frosty day. I walked to Thorn hill in the afternoon.
Sat Jan th18 _ Fine and very mild, I went down to Johnsons in the afternoon. Lizzie here for tea,
Uncle at Thorn hill in the evening.
Sun Jan 19th._ Beautiful, clear, frosty day, Uncle and I went to Fisherville in the afternoon. Uncle,
Aunt Nellie and I went to Thornhill in the evening.
Mon Jan20th_Fine stay, moderately cold, I went up to Marys for a while in the afternoon. Uncle
finished hauling his wood.
Tue Jan 21st._ Fine morning, both rather stormy in the afternoon We were at home.
Wed Jan 22nd_ Very stormy snowed and drifted all last night and to-day,
Thur Jan 23rd. Fine day, but snow very deep road not open untill about 4. O'clock, about 14 inches of
snow the greatest storm in a quarter of century with the exception that being Dec, 1898,
Fri Dec Jan 24th. _Fine day, quiet mild. Mr Alf. Keffers Sale.
Sat Dec 25th, _ Fine and mild, Uncle and I at Carrville Mill in the morning then brought Mary and the
children down, then took them home at night
Sun Dec Jan 26th _ Snowing in the morning, then turned to rain misting and dull all day.
Mon Jan 27th_: Fine day, turning colder, Nellie and Thomas here cutting feed,
Tue Jan 28. Fine day, we were at home. Uncle in Toronto.
Wed Jan 29. Fine day, Mr. Jacksons hauling the hay. Aunt Nellie went to Toronto. Uncle took me out
to the Band Carnival. Our hens started laying.
Thur Jan 30.. Fine day, Aunties came home. They went to W.A. meeting at Mrs Gibsons..
Fri Jan 31. Fine day untill evening it came a little snow. I went up to Mr Smellies wiith a party.
Sat Feb. 1. Very mild day, I went out with the Fisherville sleigh load to the afternoon Carnival.
Sun Feb 2. Very stormy day. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Mr Farrs for dinner, they had a dreadful time
coming home.
Mon Feb. 3.. Very stormy, snowing and blowing all day, the roads blocked.
Tue Feb 4._ Fine -day but very cold. the men are digging out this road, we are going through the
field, but the lane is not very deep yet. Willie here for dinner,
Wed Feb 5.th _ Fine day but still cold, Aunt Mattie and I went out to Thornhill in the sleigh for a drive,
I went over to Pa's for a while. Aunties at home. Uncle and I went to WIllie's in the evening.
Thur Feb 6th . Milder, snowing a little, I went up to Mr Keys. stayed tea. Cecil brought me home.
Fri Feb 7th. Very windy and blowing snow. We went up to Sherwood for a drive to look for thrashers.
Sat Feb. 8th _ Stormy again but not quiet so bad as usual, We went over to Pa's for tea.
Sun Feb 9 _ Very stormy day, the roads filled in again. our people did not get out to church. I went
across the field to Pa's, Elsie and Cecil there
Mon Feb 10. Fine day, pretty cold, We went out to the Social at Mr Gibsons, collection at table

Tue Feb 11. Fine in the morning, the wind getting up stormy in the afternoon.
Wed Feb 12. Very cold, and drifting, Uncle and I took Aunt Mattie out to meet the Car, Uncle and T.
Farr away in afternoon the latter there for tea.
Thur Feb 13_ Blowing and drifting again. Pa, here for dinner. We went down in the sleigh called at
Pooles' and up to Willie's.
Fri Feb 14. Fine day. beautiful, clear and sunshiny, the first real fine day, for some time. Annie
Teasdale here for tea.
Sat Feb 15. Fine day, thawing a good deal, Uncle brought Mary and the children down. Willie here
for tea.
Sun Feb 16. Fine day, beautiful and mild. I went to Fisherville, and we all went to Thornhill.
Mon Feb 17. Fine day, still mild. Thomas and George. Poole here for cutting wood. roads getting bad
Tue Feb. 18. Very cold. Uncle and I up at Mr Keys to the gathering and Presentation. Aunt Nellie kept
Marjorie and Charlie.
Fri Feb 19_ Fine but very cold, Uncle took me to the Carnival.
Sat Feb 20. Fine day, much warmer; Thawing and working water run, I called at Marys and Mas;
Fri Feb. 21st_ Fine day, warm and thawing, roads very bad, the horses cut out. Aunt Jennie and Aunt
Mattie came.
Sat Feb 22nd Fine and very warm. thawing very much, the fields are wearing bare. Uncle took us out
in the sleigh. Aunt J. and N. at Marys, Aunt Mattie at Mr Whites collecting , Mr Farrs called.
Sun Feb 23rd, Beautiful day. very mild and taking the snow. Pa's all here for tea. Willies had Charles
Wycliffe chistened this morning. I was at church.
Mon Feb 24th. Rained a little then came out fine. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Thornhill, Made a road up
to the corner, and drove down our lane. We cut our marmalade in the evening.
Tue Feb 25. Fine day, beautiful and mild. I went to Toronto, seen Mrs Wallbridge, Tom and Sara Farr
here for tea.
Wed Feb 26. Fine day snow going nicely. roads are getting a little better. We were all at home. pretty
dirty.
Thur Feb 27. Fine day. the snow going nicely. Uncle and Aunt Mattie went to Mr Alfred Farrs, very
dirty and slushy, but no deep water.
Fri Feb 28._ Raining all day, snow and water going nicely, the water over the road, at home all day,
briggres out
Sat Feb 29 Mar 1. Fine afternoon, Uncle drove me to call at Mary, Watsons in the afternoon.
Sun FMar Mar 2_ Raining a little. Uncle and Aunt Mattie at morning Church. at home the rest of day.
Muddy, and wet, but the roads are better.
Mon Mar 3_ Fine day. Uncle brought Mr and Mrs Watsons also Pa's all here for tea. Uncle brought
Marjouri
Tue Mar 4_ Uncle helping to pack Mr Alfred Heffers Cars, I was at Mrs Tisdales learning to do Pointe
lace. L. Farr called in evening. The Car left at One Oclock, a little colder,
Wed Mar 5. Fine day. I was at a quilting at Mabel Reamans,
Thur Mar 6. Fine day, thawing pretty muddy, Uncle and Aunt Mattie at Mr Farrs to meet Mr
Andersons. George Morse and Clyde Berry, landed at 9:30_
Fri Mar 7th. _ Fine day, muddy, but snow ready all gone, Uncle helped to bring the machine. Mr
Bennett called Mrs Teasdale and Annie also Mr Jim Anderson and Tom Farr here for tea,
Sat Mar 8th,_ Fine in morning, It came a little snow in the afternoon and evening. Mr Gibson called.
Sun Mar 9th._ Fine mild day, the fresh snow nearly all gone. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at church. I went
to Fisherville in the afternoon.
Mon Mar 10th. Fine day, we are thrashing.
Tue Mar 11th_ Raining at intervals. Our people finished thrashing about nine O'clock. Aunt Jennie
and Aunt Nellie went down on the 4' Oclock
Wed Mar 12.: Raining a little, Uncle helped thrashers away. Tom Farr brought Morris Botham out in
evening.
Thur Mar 13: Fine day, a little windy, Uncle down at Mr Breakesy to see the wind stacker. Morris left
Fri Mar 14. Fine warm day, Uncle took Auntie out to finish collecting, Roads getting a little dry. We
went out to Lenten Service, Robins, Grey birds here but I have not seen them
Sat Mar 15. Fine but a little colder, Lizzie here in the afternoon. Mr and Mrs Gibson here for tea.
Sun Mar 16. Rained a little in the morning. We went out to Church in the evening. Miss Duncan died,
Mon Mar 17. Fine but decidedly colder. thawed very little {written between the lines: Lizzie here to
stay all night.} Auntie and I called at Miss Duncans.
Tue Mar 18, Fine day, but still cold. they took Mrsrs Charlton, down to Mrs Masons, Uncle down in
Toronto at night.
Wed Mar 19_ Miss Duncan buried, quiet cold, and frozen clear. I went to Prayer Meeting in the
evening.
Thur Mar 20 Fine day, Aunt Mattie and I over at Ma's quilting all day.
Fri Mar 21. Fine and very mild the roads are beautiful and dry. Aunt Nellie came home in the
afternoon. Uncle and I at Mr Forbes' Party,
Sat Mar 22. Fine and very warm, We planted Onions, I went up to Marys for tea, Maud Clank and
Annie called in the evening, Mick here to hire. Started to use green Onions
Sun Mar 23. Beautiful day, the roads are very dusty. Uncle and Auntie at morning church, Aunt
Mattie & I at Fishervile, Uncle and Aunt Mattie and I at evening Service,
Mon Mar 24. Fine and warm, I was at Pa's in evening then Aunties and I at Willies, We planted
lettuce seed.
Tue Mar 25. Fine and warm, our first turkey layed, We cleaned our Cellar, and Chamber. Mick
stayed work this morning. Pa's started seeding.
Wed Mar 26. Aunt Mattie and I went to Toronto, I went {written in between lines: Our men started
seeding.} {written in between lines and above second turkey: layed.} to Prayer Meeting in the
evening, second Turkey
Thur Mar 27. Fine day, very warm, men seeding, I brought Mary and the children down.
Fri Mar 28_ :Good Friday. we were at Pa's for dinner, had Turkey and Plumb Pudding, Rained
heavily at night, I was invited to a party at Mr Lanes but too wet,
Sat Mar 29. Rained, nearly all day.; We took our Stove out, all seeding stopped.
Easter Sunday
Sun Mar 30th Fine day, untill it came a very heavy rain late in the afternoon, Uncle and Auntie at
.Morning Church, I went to Fisherville, in the rain
Mon Mar 31st. Fine but cold, We papered the spare room up stairs, Very wet in the evening.
Tue Apr 1st, Fine but very cold, Uncle helping to move Mrs Watson, We papered our room. Prayer
meeting in eve
Wed Apr 2nd, Fine but cold, We finished upstairs, Uncle was in Toronto, I went to a Party at Susie
Gallanough
Thur Apr 3rd. Fine day, but cold, Aunties at W. A. Meeting, I went over to Pa's for Milk. The Colt
hitched
Fri Apr 4. Fine and a little warmer, Mr and Miss Farr and Lily here for tea,
Sat Apr 5. Fine day, no seeding this week untill they cultivated a little, this afternoon, We went to Mrs
Troyers in the evening, (1C)
Sun Apr 6. Fine day, a little chilly, Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at church; I went to Fisherville Ma, and
Annie and Lizzie here for tea, Uncle down to see Mr Bales.
Mon Apr 7th. Raining in the afternoon, we, cleaned pantry and Cupboards, Annie called in the
afternoon,
Tue Apr 8th. Raining in the evening, We papered our kitchen ceiling. and cleaned it. the men doing a
little seeding.
Wed Apr 9th. Raining all day, Roads very muddy, men knocked off seeding for the rest of seeding
week. Mr Wilkinson and Cousin Mercy here for tea, I went to Prayer Meeting,
Thur Apr 10th, Came a shower, Aunt Nellie up at Mary's for tea. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I at Pa's in
evening.
Fri Apr 11th. Rained a little, Uncle brought, Marjorie and Charlie down in the morning, and Mary came
down for tea, No seeding this week,
Sat Apr 12, Raining at intervals and hailing, the men raking the yard, and drawing out Locusts, I went
to the Store in the evening.
Sun Apr 13_ Dull and cool, Uncle and Aunties out at church, I went to Fisherville, Uncle and Aunt
Mattie went down to Mrs Troyers, Mrs Baldwin died this morning.
Mon Apr 14. Fine but cold, Uncle drove Mrs Troyer down to Toronto, Aunt Mattie went down to Town.
Tue Apr 15. Fine and much warmer, Uncle is driving Mr St John around, (2.C) Mr Horne pruning
trees.
Wed Apr 16. Fine and warm, Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Richmond hill and called at Mrs McElroys, I
went to Prayer Meeting. M
Thur Apr 17, Fine and quiet warm; I walked out to Thornhill and called at Mary Watsons, Uncle out in
the evening, we have (3 C)
Fri Apr 18. Fine day at home, Marjorie and Charlie stayed here while Mary went to town.
Sat Apr 19. Fine day. Aunt Mattie came home on the afternoon car.
Sun Apr 20. Fine day and warm, Uncle and I at Fisherville in the afternoon, and Uncle, Aunt Nellie
and I at evening Church. Aunt Mattie at Pa's in evening. Mrs Charlton died.
Mon Apr 21. We took paper off the parlor and got the New paper on. We set our two young turkeys
Tue Apr 22_ Fine but extremely hot and high wind. put the border on the parlor and cleaned it. Uncle
and Aunt Nellie at the funeral. the girls here in the afternoon.
Wed Apr 23_ Much cooler. We finished cleaning, I went to Prayer Meeting in the evening.
Thur Apr 24 - Fine day; We were at home all day, untill evening I went up to Mary's
Fri Apr 25_ Rained heavily at night, Our men finished seeding, this afternoon.
Sat Apr 26_ Raining all morning and a very high wind in the afternoon, Tom Farr here for a while.
Sun Apr 27. We had our Turkey. Pa's also Willies and Elsie Tisdale here for dinner. I went over to the
Methodists in morn.
Mon Apr 28_ Fine and quiet warm, Uncle and I went for a drive in the evening
Tue Apr 29_ Cooler and rained heavily in the evening.
Wed Apr 30th_ Fine but cold, Elsie Tisdale and Annie Cooper here for a while in the afternoon. I
went to Prayer Meeting.
Thur May 1. Fine and a little warmer, Uncle out at Mr Gallanoughs Sale. Aunties out at the W. A.
{Women's Auxiliary} Meeting. Mary and George Chapman here for tea.
Fri May 2,. Dull and cold, raining in the evening. Will Riddell here patching the roof.
Sat May 3. Fine and warmer, Aunt Mattie called over at Pa's, in the afternoon. At Marys in eve.
Sun May 4. Rained a little. We went to Church I went to Fisherville, Jennie Clark and Lizzie here in
the evening.
Mon May 5. Fine and warm, had our lawn cut the first time; Uncle and Aunt Nellie out for a drive, I
called up at Marys in the evening.
Tue May 6_ Uncle planted Mangels, rained in the afternoon and cold.
Wed May 7. Fine but cold, I went to Prayer Meeting in the evening.
Thur May 8th_ Fine day, but cold, We were at home. in the evening. Aunt Nellie called at Mrs
Bowens'.
Fri May 9th. Fine but dull and cold, We were at home. Uncle and Aunt Mattie went for a drive.
Sat May 10. Fine but cold. very heavy frost last Night. See 1/4 of an inch thick. Aunt Mattie and I
called at Felicias and Mary Watsons_ Tom Farr here for tea
Sun May 11. Fine and slightly warmer, Uncle and Aunt Mattie at Mr Reives, Aunt Nellie at Morning
Church. I went to Fisherville
Mon May 12. Fine and warm but dull, Men started Manure hauling, Aunties went up to Willies,
Charlie has Convulsions. 7 Uncle and Willie went up for the Doctor
Tue. May 13. Fine and a little warmer. I went up to see Charlie. _ Uncle and I down at Mr Johnsons
in evening.
Wed May 14. Fine day. Mrs Troyer here to spend the day. Auntie and Uncle brought Marjorie down. I
went to Prayer Meeting.
Thur May 15_ Fine day. Aunt Mattie came home from Willies. I went to the raising at Mr Fishers.
Uncle and Aunt Mattie at a Meeting at the church about the pic nic. Girls called. {Above the word

Fri May 16._ Fine and warmer, Mrs Albert Farr and Tom here for tea.
Sat May 17__ Fine day, Annie and I were down at Mr Teasdales, Lizzie here for tea.
Sun May 18_ Fine but dull, I went to Fisherville. They took Marjorie home. Uncle, Aunt Mattie and I
at evening Church.
Mon May 19_ Very. Very, hot, Uncle and Tom Farr in Toronto, We made dandelion wine and went up
to Willies in evening.
Tue May 20_ Fine after a shower in the morning, Uncle brough, Dick and Mary Watson out to spend
the day.
Wed May 21st._ Fine day, we took our Coal stove out and cleaned the Room.
Thur May 22. Finished cleaning the upstairs down, Very hot. Mr Huff out fixing the pump, heavy
thunder storm at night.
Fri May 23_ Very hot and Sultry. Men are cleaning the Cistern out, came a thunder storm at night. I
was at Pa's in the afternoon.
Sat May 24_ Very warm, and showery, We went over to Pa's in the evening. We had 41 Turkeys
hatched out and 38 living now.
Sun May 25_ Dull and warm Uncle and Aunties went to Church, I went to did not go to Fisherville as
it looked like rain. Vermer Cook came home with them. and Annie and Lizzie here. Uncle, Lizzie and
I went to evening service.
Mon May 26_ Fine and warm we were at home.
Tue May 27_ Turned quiet cold, Men working on the roads,
Wed May 28_ Very cold, Aunt Nellie and I in Toronto in the afternoon. I went to Prayer Meeting. Mr
John Milne here all night,
Thur May 29_ Election Day, Mr St John in with over 400 Majority. Cold, and a frost with ice last night.
I called at Pa's in the evening. (C.I. Away,
Fri May 30_ A little warmer, Uncle went out for Lily Farr. fine day,
Sat May 31_ Fine day, Aunt Mattie and I up at Marys in the evening. Lily went to Thornhill.
Sun June 1. Fine but very hot, Uncle. Aunt Mattie and {written below and between the lines: Peace
in S. Africa declared,} I went to church I went to Fisherville, Ma, Mary. and the children here for tea.
Mon June 2, Fine but very warm. Uncle helping at {written below and between the lines: We have
only 24 turkeys.} Tom Bowes. Mr and Mrs Gibson called in the evening. Aunt Nellie called at Miss
Duncans.
Tue June 3_ Fine but still warm, came a shower. in the afternoon. I went to Prayer Meeting
Wed June 4_ Uncle at Bowes' he and Auntie went for a drive in the evening. Annie and Clara
Teasdale here for tea.
Thur June 25, Fine day. We I were at home. Day of Mrs Charltons Sale. Aunties at W. A. Meeting at
Mrs Gibsons,
Fri June 6th_ Fine day, but cool, Aunt Mattie went to Toronto, I went up to Mary's in evening
Sat June 7_ Fine day. Tom Farr here for tea,
Sun June 8_ Fine but very cool and windy. We went to Morning Church, I went to Fisherville in the
afternoon.
Mon June 9_ Fine day and, Mr and Mrs Gibson called also T. Farr. Aunt Mattie came home on the
evening car.
Tue June 10th_ Fine and cool, Uncle at Mr Mc Kenzies raising.
Wed June 11th_ Fine day but cold, I went to Prayer Meeting
Thur June 12_ Fine day, and a little warmer,
Fri June 13_ Fine and warmer. Doctor Minnie, Jimmy and Arthur Appelbe came on the evening train.
Sat June 14_ Fine and warm. Uncle took the Doctor up to Maple, Dr Sisley's.
Sun June 15_ Fine and extremely warm. Mr & Mrs Reive, also Kathleen, and Pa's family here to
spend the day.
Mon June 16_ Raining in the morning. Aunt Lizzie came, They all went over to Pa's to spend the
day.__
Tue June 17_ Fine day, and cool, The Appelbe's came back here, Mary and the children called, Aunt
Lizzie went home in the evening.
Wed June 18_ Fine day, Annie and Lizzie here. Uncle at Mr Jacksons raising, He took Minnie and
Aunt Nellie for drive
Thur June_19 Fine and quiet warm, Uncle, Aunt Nellie the Doctor and Minnie all drove out to
Markham Village for the afternoon, I went to Prayer Meeting.
Fri June 20_ Fine day, but a little showery in the evening, We all went out to Pic Nic.
Sat June 21_ Raining in the morning. The Appelbes left on the morning train, Uncle went up to Mr
Bothams, Aunt Mattie and I went up to Marys in the evening it is quiet cold,
Sun June 22_ Fine but dull and cold. I went to Fisherville, and we walked out to evening church.
Mon June 23_Fine but dull, Aunt Mattie went down to bring Aunt Rosetta up, Miss Pages called, the
day of Elia Pick Nic
Tue June 24 :Fine but rather dull, Aunt Mattie and {written in between lines: Had green peas} Uncle
out at the Mason's Supper.
Wed Jun 25_ Rained heavily in the afternoon and evening Thur June 26_ Fine but very windy. Jennie Green and Reata Cook . here, Uncle and Aunt Nellie at

Fri June 27 - Fine and a little warmer, Uncle at Mr Whites moving a barn, I went to Mr Teasdales,
Aunt Mattie and Aunt Rosetta at Ma's for tea, Lizzie finished her Exam,
Sat June 28_ Fine day, Uncle at a raising down the 2nd Mrs Dean and Major, also Ma, and Lizzie
here.
Sun June 29_ Rained heavily all morning, did not go to Church, In the evening. Uncle, Aunt Mattie
and I went, fine evening.
Mon June 30th_ Raining heavily most of the day. at home.
Tue July 1_ "Dominion Day" Fine day, Uncle, Aunt Mattie, and I went up to Maple Pic-Nic, the girls
here picking peas in evening.
Wed July 2_ Fine and quiet warm. Aunt Kate also, Katie and Irene Chapman here. We went up to
call at Mary's in the afternoon

Sun Feb 2. Very stormy day. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Mr Farrs for dinner, they had a dreadful time
coming home.
Mon Feb. 3.. Very stormy, snowing and blowing all day, the roads blocked.
Tue Feb 4._ Fine -day but very cold. the men are digging out this road, we are going through the
field, but the lane is not very deep yet. Willie here for dinner,
Wed Feb 5.th _ Fine day but still cold, Aunt Mattie and I went out to Thornhill in the sleigh for a drive,
I went over to Pa's for a while. Aunties at home. Uncle and I went to WIllie's in the evening.
Thur Feb 6th . Milder, snowing a little, I went up to Mr Keys. stayed tea. Cecil brought me home.
Fri Feb 7th. Very windy and blowing snow. We went up to Sherwood for a drive to look for thrashers.
Sat Feb. 8th _ Stormy again but not quiet so bad as usual, We went over to Pa's for tea.
Sun Feb 9 _ Very stormy day, the roads filled in again. our people did not get out to church. I went
across the field to Pa's, Elsie and Cecil there
Mon Feb 10. Fine day, pretty cold, We went out to the Social at Mr Gibsons, collection at table

Fri Feb 14. Fine day. beautiful, clear and sunshiny, the first real fine day, for some time. Annie
Teasdale here for tea.
Sat Feb 15. Fine day, thawing a good deal, Uncle brought Mary and the children down. Willie here
for tea.
Sun Feb 16. Fine day, beautiful and mild. I went to Fisherville, and we all went to Thornhill.
Mon Feb 17. Fine day, still mild. Thomas and George. Poole here for cutting wood. roads getting bad
Tue Feb. 18. Very cold. Uncle and I up at Mr Keys to the gathering and Presentation. Aunt Nellie kept

Sat Feb 22nd Fine and very warm. thawing very much, the fields are wearing bare. Uncle took us out
in the sleigh. Aunt J. and N. at Marys, Aunt Mattie at Mr Whites collecting , Mr Farrs called.
Sun Feb 23rd, Beautiful day. very mild and taking the snow. Pa's all here for tea. Willies had Charles
Wycliffe chistened this morning. I was at church.
Mon Feb 24th. Rained a little then came out fine. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at Thornhill, Made a road up
to the corner, and drove down our lane. We cut our marmalade in the evening.
Tue Feb 25. Fine day, beautiful and mild. I went to Toronto, seen Mrs Wallbridge, Tom and Sara Farr
here for tea.
Wed Feb 26. Fine day snow going nicely. roads are getting a little better. We were all at home. pretty
dirty.
Thur Feb 27. Fine day. the snow going nicely. Uncle and Aunt Mattie went to Mr Alfred Farrs, very
dirty and slushy, but no deep water.

Fri Mar 7th. _ Fine day, muddy, but snow ready all gone, Uncle helped to bring the machine. Mr
Bennett called Mrs Teasdale and Annie also Mr Jim Anderson and Tom Farr here for tea,
Sat Mar 8th,_ Fine in morning, It came a little snow in the afternoon and evening. Mr Gibson called.
Sun Mar 9th._ Fine mild day, the fresh snow nearly all gone. Uncle and Aunt Nellie at church. I went
to Fisherville in the afternoon.
Mon Mar 10th. Fine day, we are thrashing.
Tue Mar 11th_ Raining at intervals. Our people finished thrashing about nine O'clock. Aunt Jennie
and Aunt Nellie went down on the 4' Oclock
Wed Mar 12.: Raining a little, Uncle helped thrashers away. Tom Farr brought Morris Botham out in
evening.
Thur Mar 13: Fine day, a little windy, Uncle down at Mr Breakesy to see the wind stacker. Morris left
Fri Mar 14. Fine warm day, Uncle took Auntie out to finish collecting, Roads getting a little dry. We
went out to Lenten Service, Robins, Grey birds here but I have not seen them
Sat Mar 15. Fine but a little colder, Lizzie here in the afternoon. Mr and Mrs Gibson here for tea.
Sun Mar 16. Rained a little in the morning. We went out to Church in the evening. Miss Duncan died,

lettuce seed.
Tue Mar 25. Fine and warm, our first turkey layed, We cleaned our Cellar, and Chamber. Mick
stayed work this morning. Pa's started seeding.
