I finished takeng potatoes out of the pits widow braggs boys were helping, after diging in the garden Tue Apr 30 th cloudy and hot. was diging in the garden and setting fruit trees I had orderd Wed May 1 st clear most of the day and cool. I wanted a fiew earley potatoes Thu May 2 and cloudy and thunder showers not doing much to day Fri May 3 clear and cool. saw'd some wood Sat May 4 th clear and warm. a frost last night I cleand out the cows stable cut wood and trim'd apple trees. the plumb trees begining to come in blow Sun May 5 th clear and pleasant. I went with David Will to Duarterley m meeting at Florence Mon May 6 th clear and warm. not doing much Tue May 7 cloudy most of the day + warm Walter plowd any bit of a garden == Croton May 1901 == Wed May 8 th clear part of the day and hot in the fore I went down and castrated Dicks lands. atre after noon planted a few potatoes Thu May 9 th cloudy fore noon showry a fine rain. I was makein a chicken coop in the fore noon. not doing much the rest of the day Fri May 10 th clear and warm. not doing much to day working a little in the garden Sun May 11 th cloudy and high wind from the west and quite cold. Mon May 13 th cloudy and cool. I cut wood and wrote a couple of letters to the girls Mrs Boyington was helping Flora Snary Tue May 14 th cloudy part of the day and cool I split wood part of the day. Mrs Boyington away Wed May 15 th cloudy part of the day and sharp frost last night. I wa makeing a markr for markeing corn groud. thu May 16 th clear and hot in the midle of the day a frost last night. I planted any little paleh with corn this fore noon. after wend with Bilton, and got a setting of Dorking eggs
